ADRIANA ZEGA was born in 1982 in Milan. Since 2009 she works in Gaza as humanitarian worker and photographer She has also realized photographic reportages in Brazil (2005) about Sem Terra Movement (MST) and in Colombia (2007) about internally displaced persons and the human rights violations caused by paramilitary violence.

The interviews were realized and written in collaboration with INGE, writer and activist for human rights from Belgium, and SAMAH, journalist from Gaza.

OVERSEAS and UAWC have supported the interviwed families through a food security intervention aimed at improving the level of food security of families living close to the buffer zone affected by cast lead operation.
